Most of the songs have been written while I was driving. I often write without instruments, just putting down the chord structure and lyrics on paper and later fine tuning it while working with the band or by myself. I'm inspired by the day to day, but I mostly write about things in an execrated fashion (and taking liberties of making a bigger deal out of the smaller things than necessary) all while trying to make it relateable.
Any Songs You Have Written That Hold An Extra Place In Your Heart? And If So, Why?
The Devil's Not A Man; it was the first song I wrote for this project. It was also the first song I had written in almost 10 years after taking an extended break from playing music. It still makes me happy to know that I was able to still do it (even though I think I've written better songs since).
What Are Your Thoughts On The Recording Sessions?
The recording sessions were split between 3 different sessions - two of which were done before there was even really a band and long before we had ever even played a show. Recording Hanging Suit is my favorite memory as we actually stayed out in L.A. for a few days to do the session as a band. That was fun - we rented a hotel room, we worked from early morning until the middle of the night. Working with Brad Cook (our producer and engineer is always a pleasure - he really gets it... even when I don't).
What About The First Show You Played, Any Memories?
Chris (drums) and I had just gotten a bass player and rhythm guitar player, we hadn't rehearsed enough, hell Chris and I were still knocking off cobwebs from not playing... we played a show in the front yard of a house with 2 other bands that were made up of friends of mine. We were awful!!! I've never been that nervous before or since.
So Far, What Has Been Your Best Live Experience?
Ever since Paul (guitar) and Steve (bass) joined the band it seems each gig just gets better and better. We did a Halloween gig in late October, we were all in costume, and while it wasn't the best venue we were really on fire. My favorite part was being able to hear the crowd sing along with our songs and during the last chorus of Revolution (which we closed with) being able to push the mic out into the audience and have a group of people screaming along with the song.

Any Memories Of The First Concert You Attended?
Tom Petty, I don't remember the venue but I remember thinking that they were very tight and the set list really flowed but was also surprised that they were really quiet (I vowed never to be in a quiet band).
Any Bands/Artists You Enjoy Listening To That People Might Find Surprising?
Harry Connick Jr., Chris Isaak and Brad Paisley.
So What Do You Have Planned For Next Year?
We are coming out of the gates in 2013 with some new songs, we are working on some new recordings and we will be playing with some fantastic national touring bands.
What Do You Want To Say To The Fans?
We work really hard pouring our heart and souls into making music and having all of you that come out and see us, buying our music and supporting us really means the world to us! our E.P. is on iTunes, Amazon.com and Spotify.
